Photography Classes

Photo I

Manual equals creative control. This eight week class is all about the basics of photography and will teach you the manual functions of the camera so YOU are in control over the look of your photographs. We will break it down so that you understand how the shutter, aperture and ISO work along with exposure compensation, proper lens selection and the fundamentals of composition and design.

Take control of how your images look instead of relying on your camera’s best guess.

Editing Basics

You have completed your photography session. Now what? Are you still confused or slightly intimidated by lightroom and photoshop? This eight week class walks you through the steps of workflow, editing, compositing and retouching using both Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

Photo II

Are you still struggling with your flash or afraid to use it because you do not truly understand it? Are you a "natural light photographer"? This eight week class is all about lighting. We will teach you how to use a flash both on and off camera, studio lighting and mixed lighting, combining flash and natural light.

“I’m lucky to have had Callaway, a highly skilled photographer who clearly cares about his student’s growth. The foundational elements he taught me prepared the way for my success as a photojournalist with work published around the world.”

“Callaway led a small group of students on a Baylor mission trip to Costa Rica where we traveled to different areas of the country all while honing our photography skills and learning how best to serve our ecosystems. It is obvious from the start how passionate Callaway is for photography and for teaching others. He is brilliant, patient, and generous.
